Saturday Waits

Once the fulfillment of our urge/urges have been met, where do you go from there? The continuum of our needs to have fun and enjoy life is a daily cycle and it does not stop on the weekends either, does it ever sleep? Do you ever wake up Saturday morning feeling like why or what the hell did I do what i did last night? It's kinda ironic that we build this tension and when it's discharge and liberated the aftershock sometimes leaves slight fragment of remorse, only sometimes. As we lie in bed, watching the sunlight gazes through the blinds the urge emerges once again. Impulse, it's a funny little thing.

So last night in the heart of Orange County, at the Phoenix Grille on the UCI campus I was fortunate enough to catch Thao Nguyen & The Get Down Stay Down for the second time this year. I keep repeating myself but I have to say that she is freakin' amazing, and also the fact that she's Vietnamese, I'm so proud. I would have to say that this set was a bit more intimate with a quiet crowd but I loved it. I love the fact that they are so humble and normal, they're just like any of us. After the show I met the bass player, Adam, and he bummed a cigarette from me, which I thought was kinda cool, hahah. But I spoke to him like anyone else, down to earth, and not too proud of his successes. I wish I was a musician and got to tour around the world, i'm fucking envious, but I'm ok with the fact. So they'll be in So. Cal for the weekend and they're off, so catch them if you have the time, you'll thank me.

weekly recap

As exciting as the week was, it's really taken a toll on me. In the prime of my life or so it may seem, I would think that I was have limitless time and energy to indulge in the daily/weekly activities that are presented, but at time my body seems so frail and not willing to roll with the punches. I'm not getting too old am I? It can't be, I have too much life left to live but I feel like I am able to fulfill the certain needs and urges that trembles on the surface of my skin, maybe I'm just getting bored of the the same shit different day kind of routine. Even though I try to mix up the "adventurous" activities each week it seems to lead to the same end. This past week wasn't do bad so I can't really complain, except for the indian skin that I got from jet skiing, I shouldn't have jinxed myself by saying "i never get sunburned," fucken karma police. But jet skiing was awesome, Mission Bay was nice not too crowded just right, and the weather was exceptional. It was nice weekend hang out with the fam bam. The weather has present great summer temperatures, not too hot, just right even at time it can be a bit delusional.

Last weekends vegas trip was uhh, could have been better, or should have not gone at all..haha that seems like the same words I always say after a trip out to the evil desert. I think i've had my vegas fun for the rest of the year, time to go somewhere else, somewhere a bit more relaxing, revitalizing, and refreshing don't you think? I'm thinking San Francisco, bay area air, fresh eats, and of course the reunion of the 3 drunkards..hahah if i can still call myself that..Oh and to catch Justice, CSS, HOT CHIP, Goldfrapp, TV On The Radio, and much more at the Treasure Island Music Festival..

But before the scent of the bay breeze i am heading out the the real desert of arizona in 2 weeks to visit the rents..I hear its triple digits daily in phoenix, that sounds like a sweltering time..The things i do for my mom..haha i love you

midway point

Isn't it funny how time and age is measured on a forward scale yet we live in cycles? Daily progression institutes change but the routines and cycles revolve in circles? Is that how life was meant to be lived, doing things over and over? But perhaps that is the blueprint of human life, to follow in the footprints of those who have come before us. They have left trails and paths for us to follow and not get lost and offtrack. Call me unconventional but I thrive on the setting fresh and original impressions, these prints are comfortably fitted for my feet.
